Draft Thornton Neighbourhood Plan

Previous community engagement in developing the plan has occurred including reviewing facts and figures, devising a vision, considering options and site specific proposals along with draft policies that apply to different parts of the area. The last consultation occurred in May 2017. The draft plan is produced below for reference purposes.

There were no comments made on the draft following the last consultation round. The draft plan was amended slightly reflecting on the Grenfell disaster and update because the wall/garages on Anlaby Road have now been demolished. The plan is now ready to be submitted for an independent inspector to test if it meets basic conditions, described in the regulations governing what and how the plan should be devised.
The Submission draft plan is available to view along with the draft Policies Map.

Should you want to make comment on the plan then please email or write to the Planning Inspector c/o Hull City Council, Planning Services, Alfred Gelder Street, Hull, HU1 2AA or by using the form provided. Please make your views known by the 31 January 2018.

A hard copy is also available to view during normal office hours in the following locations:

  • The Octagon, Walker Street, Hull
  • Wilson Centre, Alfred Gelder Street, Hull

The Inspectors report will be available to view in due course. Should the Inspector agree to its proposals then a referendum will occur on it, probably in May 2018.
